Our History
EWPS began with a simple observation:People in Africa depend heavily on their devices, yet reliable warranty protection barely exists.
Founded in Lagos by a team with over 16 years of deep experience in consumer electronics, repairs, and vendor ecosystems, EWPS started as a small initiative to help reduce customer complaints and device return rates within Computer Village (The biggest IT market in West Africa).
The turning point came when the founders realized that:
1. Students were losing coursework because laptops suddenly failed.
2. Vendors were losing revenue due to avoidable returns.
3. Customers had no clarity about warranties especially for pre-owned devices.
4. Technicians lacked standardized processes and support.
So in 2023–2024, EWPS evolved into Africa’s first Device Warranty-as-a-Service provider, offering affordable monthly subscription plans that cover repairs and technical support.
From a handful of early adopters, EWPS grew into a partnership network of over 50+ independent vendors, developed a working API for e-commerce platforms, and now protects hundreds of devices across Lagos.
Today, EWPS is not just a service, it's a movement to bring trust, structure, and transparency to the African tech ecosystem.
